Government pledges money to help the industry.... be green? 131
Government pledges money to help the industry.... be green? 131
Posted on by
Just Diggers Newsdesk
The government has just unveiled plans that will offer £2 billion in funds to help the industry go green and improve their environmental performance. It is believed that the £2 billion will be used to encourage plant companies and suppliers to directly tackle the issue of going green, although some have questioned why £2 billion is being invested in the industry just for green credentials when money is needed to help plant hire battle the credit crunch.
The bulk of the funding will be targeted at the automotive industry but the government are keen to point out that they welcome invitations from plant hire manufacturers and digger and bulldozer firms.
