Alan Tuer Limited is a family business, intent on providing a high quality, personal service to commercial and domestic customers alike. The company was founded in 1979 and has always prided itself on giving all its clients, old and new, the same level of commitment and versatile service.

The company’s offices and plant yard are situated next to the family home, ensuring that attention and advice are always available, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is provided by friendly, experienced staff who will advise you on your general or specific requirements.

A wide variety of modern, highly specified and fully maintained machines and equipment is available. Operating instructions and comprehensive advice and help are given at the point of hire to ensure that operation of the plant is trouble free at all times.

Plant can be collected or delivered on trailer over the whole of Cumbria and the Borders. All our drivable machines have operators available if required, all of whom are trained to a high standard and CTA registered. All of them are experienced in every aspect of construction work.

In order to maintain our service at the level required by today’s discerning customers, and to ensure that we comply with current legal requirements and rulings, we are members of the Construction Plant Hire Association and the Construction Training Board.

While plant hire remains our primary core business we are also experienced in other areas of activity, including house building, earthworks, drainage and general civil engineering.
